Why Volunteer?

Consider that most people find themselves in need at some point in their lives. Today you may be the person with the ability to help, but tomorrow you may be the recipient of someone else’s volunteer effort. People volunteer for a wide variety of reasons, like wanting to help others. But did you know that you could receive benefits from volunteering?

Things to think about before you volunteer:
- Research the causes or issues important to you.
- Consider the skills you have to offer.
- Would you like to learn something new?
- Combine your goals.
- Don’t over commit your schedule.
- Consider volunteering as a family or a larger group.
